Christmas Futon Collections from Futons-Direct

Today, Sunday the 4th, is the last day to order non-stock futons for collection from our workshop near Oxford. We will have double futon mattresses for collection up to Christmas, but most singles and bed frame futon mattresses need to be made to order. The deadline for national order is Sunday the 11th, but please order as soon as possible to avoid weather problems and any delivery problems that might occur as we get closer to Christmas.

We keep as many double futon mattresses  and futon frames in stock as possible, but it is impossible to stock every colour and type of filling. Most single and small doubles need to be ordered and our new range of very popular bed frame futon mattresses also need to be made to order. Free UK Futon Delivery from Futons-Direct

In addition to our normal futon and replacement futon mattress offers, we have started to offer free delivery on selected futon sofabeds. At the moment our Penang double is being sent out with no delivery charge for the southern UK mainland.This futon is already £150 cheaper than comparable high st prices, so the £30 saving should be helpful to our customers. Akino Futon Restock from Futons-Direct

Our popular Akino 2 seat futon and Singapore (the Singapore is the 3 seat version of the Akino) will be back in stock and available for collection or nationwide UK delivery at the end of November, these high quality futons are worth waiting for, but if you are interested in any other of our futons or need a replacement futon mattress for Christmas it is worth ordering as soon as possible to avoid the mad rush and delivery problems that always occur in December, there are already some warnings about very cold weather to hit the UK in the next couple of weeks, last year was the worst for deliveries in our 25 years in business.

Online Futon Payments to Futons-Direct

For our online payments we use Sagepay, which while not as well known as paypal, is used by 800,000 UK businesses. Sagepay offers 100% secure, simple to use systems and their online transaction systems are at the highest security levels. Their systems and ours are PC1 Level 1 compliant and we arere checked every year by our merchant bank .

Discount for Collected Futons from Futons-Direct

To remind our futon customers, there is always an extra discount for any nom-offer collected futons and futon mattresses. Our workshop is a little hard to find, so please look at the contact and visit us page on our website. (there is a map and picture of our building) We will be open every Saturday up to Christmas and are open during the week by appointment. We usually have slight seconds and uncollected orders at a good saving on the original price and we also have some futon models for collection only. For the autumn futon season we think our best selling futon mattresses will be our replacement double futon mattresses, both the 137cm trifold and 137 cm ultimate foam and superior bifold futon mattresses will be on offer. These are much better quality than than some of the uncomfortable, incorrectly made futons that are for sale in the UK. Futons, Expected autumn best sellers

At futons-direct we expect the best sellings futons will continue to be the hardwood Penang futon sofabeds and the metal futons, both clic clacs, the Oslo and the nordic are very popular, the online videos which clearly show the ease of operation of these futon frames have boosted sales a lot. The hardwood futons are about £200 less than similar high st prices, the metal frames are a bit more expensive than some on the internet but the quality of the frames and the futon mattresses is much higher. Our family futon company in Eynsham (5 miles west of Oxford) is starting the 26th year of selling only futons, in that time we have seen numerous competitors fail and dissapear. Sometimes their failure has been caused by bigger economic conditions, but often it has been their own fault. For many years futons have been seen as a loss leader or just something extra to sell (an example are the many bed stores who bought in a few cheap futons and threw them in a remote corner of their shop )Luckily many of these companies have stopped selling futons, the bad news is that others have taken their place in the futon market, there are some companies (including some big names and some high ranking companies on the search engines) who, if consumer laws were a bit tighter would or should face prosecution for miselling.
