How quickly can you deliver?

Any item that is in stock can be delivered to most parts of UK mainland in 24-48 hours. If the item is not in stock, it will take about a week to 2 weeks for delivery. We can also arrange very rapid
short-notice deliveries to London(Call 01865 880005 for this service)

Which days would you deliver ?

Delivery is the day of your choice, Monday to Friday. Early deliveries (by 1pm) are available for an additional £10. Some Saturday deliveries are also possible for parts of the UK and cost £10 to £20 extra.

Can the futon be collected?

You can visit the workshops to pick up your futon. You just need to arrange a collection time. Most of the bases are flatpacked and will fit into a hatchback or estate car.

Is my futon guaranteed?

Yes, your futon is guaranteed against fault for one year. Also in the unlikely event of damage incurred in shipping.

Is there a choice of colours for the futon covers?

Your futon can be covered in a wide choice of popular fabrics and colours. Please look at link on futon mattress page.

Do you sell replaceable covers?

Yes, we sell separate covers for every futon we sell. Dry cleanable covers cost £60 for drill fabrics and £15 extra for chenille or faux-suede fabrics.

What's special about your futon mattresses?

All our futons are constructed using the latest high-tech materials (sprung-fibre natural fillings and super-rebound polyester). More information can be found on our futon mattress page

Why are these new futon materials better?

The new futon filling is lighter, mostly pre-compressed and has a bouncy feeling to it. The fact that the futon mattress is pre-compressed means that it will not squash down and go flat and lumpy like the old type of wool and cotton fillings that many companies are still using.All our futons also have at least one layer of rebound polyester for extra comfort.

What's special about your pine futon bases?

Our Darwin futon bases is made from ultra high quality New Zealand pine.We believe that in terms of thickness of the wood, general appearance and lack of splinters and sap pockets this is the best pine futon base on the UK market.Our cheaper
Oxford futon uses european pine and is also much stronger than normal for this type of base.

What's special about your hard wood futon bases?

At this point in time, the Malaysians make the finest hardwood futon frames in the world and we have carefully selected the best of these.
We have also specially selected bases that are easy to assemble and operate.

Are your bases easy to operate?

All our futon bases are easy to operate. Some literally convert in a few seconds.
Easiest to operate are the 3 seater bases,they literally take seconds to convert and are the models we recommend for frequent or everyday use. The easiest 2 seaters are the Boston and the Osaka which convert easily from the front, using one hand and don’t need to be moved away from the wall.

You can pay by credit card, debit card, or you can send a cheque in the post made out to Futons Direct. At the moment online orders don’t have payment taken until we confirm verbally that you are ordering the correct item.
